When Private Citizens Arm Themselves Criminals Take Notice

Washington DC, in 2009, had its lowest homicide rate since 1964.

This follows immediately after the US Supreme Court overturned Washington's gun ban upon homeowners.

There was also a 16 percent drop in sexual assaults and a 10 percent drop in car thefts.

Gun and ammunition sales across the US have soared despite the recession.

Correspondingly the FBI and law-enforcement agencies across the country report a decrease in violent crime.
