Trans-Pacific Partnership Investment Treaty

Copy of comment sent through the consultation channel at Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada:  

I don't know a lot about a lot of things, but if I understand this correctly, in the TPP's Investment Chapter, the accord would grant the power to global corporations to sue Canadian governments in tribunals organized by the World Bank or the United Nations to obtain taxpayer compensation for loss of expected future profits due to government actions. And the rulings of these tribunals would override any Canadian court or law. That is so wrong.
