The provincial government made great promises of providing new housing for seniors and handicapped people. With great joy municipalities and community groups made the preparations for their part of the projects. As time moved along the government then told most groups that there was not enough money anymore.
And now just three weeks after announcing a 15% income tax cut, the B.C. government announced Wednesday it is scrapping the plan.
The 15% cut was announced on Oct. 27. It would have applied to the first $72,293 of personal income and would have taken effect Jan. 1.
If someone cries out "What jackasses! Liars, liars, liars", there would appear to be great justification for such expression.
